As part of its appearance, and to illustrate how it offers the perfect solution to almost any individual need or requirement, the company chose to showcase its wide range of world-class Holset turbochargers for medium to heavy-duty diesel engines. These included the following models – HE351Ve, HY55V, HE211W and the HE531Ve turbocharger.
In addition, Cummins used a Scania truck to demonstrate its 13 litre 480 bhp engine and reveal how its Holset turbocompounding unit can contribute to a power plant with the dual benefits of up 50% increased power output and lower exhaust emissions.
What’s more, the company used a Dodge Ram 2500 truck to give visitors a preview of its new 6.7 litre Cummins turbo-diesel engine, as well as demonstrate how its Holset HE35IVE turbocharger compliments the engine.
Finally, recognising that the Yorkshire Trucking Spectacular is a family event, Cummins Turbo Technologies kept children entertained with a competition to win a Turbo teddy and gave away plenty of exciting Cummins merchandise.
Commenting on the event, Tim Eady, Events Co-ordinator for Cummins Turbo Technologies said: “We really enjoyed the Truckfest event in Driffield It gave us the ideal opportunity to showcase our extensive product range to the industry and to demonstrate how our turbochargers can contribute to reduced pollution, improved performance and lower operating costs.”
He added: “It’s always beneficial to meet the people who use our turbochargers day in and day out as it allows us to better understand their needs and to develop products that suit their exact requirements."
Following on from the success of the Yorkshire event, the company will also exhibit at the North West Truckfest held at Haydock Park Racecourse in Lancashire from the 13 – 14 September.
