MID-AMERICA TRUCK SHOW 2009

March 19th through the 21st, the Kentucky Expo Center played host to the 2009 Mid-America Truck Show, in Louisville Kentucky. Encompassing virtually one million square feet of exhibit space and more than 1,000 exhibiting companies MATS has proven to be the largest trucking show in the world.

Despite the down economy, approximately 70, 000 people attended the show throughout the three day span. Equipment and services of every conceivable description, representing the most innovative technology and advanced developments in the trucking industry were on display at the annual event.

Cummins Turbo Technologies made its appearance showcasing its full range of Cummins applied turbochargers. On display at the show included the:

· Holset HX25 – this light-duty turbo can be seen on agricultural, industrial, air compressor, and stand by power generation applications.
· Holset HE351Ve – this mid-range turbo can be seen on automotive and delivery trucks, military units, school buses, and RV applications.
· Holset HE431Ve – this mid-range/heavy duty turbo can be seen on fire and dump trucks, cement mixers, refuse haulers, urban buses, and RV applications.
· Holset HE561Ve – this heavy-duty turbo can be seen on auto, coach, urban bus, and 18-wheel semi truck applications.
· Holset HX83 – this high-horsepower turbo can be seen on power generation, oil and gas rigs, marine, and mining applications.

Other Cummins Business Units also on display at MATS included the Engine Business with a glimpse of its 2010 product line, Parts and Service, and Filtration. The Power Gear store joined the group allowing individuals to stock up on their Cummins branded apparel, ball caps, pens, and more.
